Spicy Ramen Lasagna Fusion

Featured in: Comfort Plates

Enjoy a distinctive combination where ramen noodles are layered with spicy ground pork, tangy tomato sauce, and rich ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses. The fusion of Japanese and Italian flavors offers a memorable dish, baked until bubbling and golden. Preparation includes briefly cooking the ramen, making a savory meat sauce with gochujang, and assembling with creamy cheese layers in a baking dish. Bake until the cheese is bubbling and let it rest before slicing. Experiment with ground chicken or turkey, add vegetables, or drizzle chili oil for extra flavor. Serve warm, garnished with green onion, pairing perfectly with crisp beverages for comfort meals.

A bold and inventive fusion dish that layers ramen noodles, spicy ground pork, tangy tomato sauce, and creamy cheese for a comforting, flavor-packed meal.

Recipe Guide

Can other meats be used instead of pork?

Yes, ground chicken, turkey, or beef work well and offer lighter or different flavor profiles to suit preference.

What type of ramen noodles should I use?

Instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning) are recommended for texture and ease—ensure to cook slightly under.

How can I add extra vegetables to the dish?

Layer sautéed mushrooms or spinach between noodle and cheese layers for added nutrition and flavor.

What cheeses work best for the creamy filling?

Use ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan for the best combination of creaminess, stretch, and sharpness.

How do I achieve a spicier taste?

Increase gochujang or red pepper flakes, or use a final drizzle of chili oil before serving for extra heat.

Are there wine or drink pairings recommended?

Serve with a crisp lager or lightly chilled red wine to complement the rich and spicy fusion flavors.
