03 - 2 tbsp milk, dairy or plant-based

05 - 1/2 tsp baking powder
06 - 1/4 tsp salt
07 - 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

08 - 1 tbsp melted butter or neutral oil, plus additional for greasing
# Method:
01 - Preheat the waffle iron as per manufacturer's directions and lightly grease with butter or oil.
02 - In a medium bowl, stir together grated sweet potato, egg, milk, melted butter, flour, baking powder, salt, and optional cinnamon until evenly blended.
03 - Spoon half of the batter onto the preheated waffle iron, spreading it gently to cover the surface evenly.
04 - Close the waffle iron and cook for 4 to 6 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
05 - Remove the cooked waffle carefully and repeat the process with the remaining batter.
06 - Serve the waffles warm with preferred toppings such as Greek yogurt, maple syrup, fresh fruit, or chopped nuts.
